How to Make Money Online?
One of the questions that I am asked day in and day out is how can i make money on the internet? I usually tell people to check out peterfoti.com and see how it is that I make money online but that can be tedious and may or may not be the best option for everybody. With that, I have decided to put together a little post to explain some of the most common and a few obscure ways that you can make money on the internet. They wont work for everyone on their own, but if you can put in the time and effort (that is the recurring theme here) I think you will find that doing any of these and even some of the ones that I have not listed will enable you to make some extra money online.
Buy and Sell Domain Names
This might not be the option for everyone, but if you enjoy speculating and have some money that you dont mind playing around with then this might be the option for you. If you are just starting out I would recommend buying pre-existing domain names and trying to sell them second hand. If you can find some solid domains this will work well to help build you a bankroll that you can use for other ventures later on. If you are looking for a bit more risk, but potentially a much higher reward I would recommend hand registering domains from somewhere like Godaddy
and then trying to contact people individually to sell them at a higher rate. I have done this in the past with mild success but it takes a lot of research and man hours to pull off effectively, but people like Rick Latona do it daily and make a ton of money in the process.
Mini Sites/Snipers
This is the option that I go with most often. You pick a keyword, make a site around that keyword, perform search engine optimization on the newly developed site, and watching the money flow in with either PPC or affiliate ads. I find this to be the most time consuming option (unless you use outsourcing) but it is the most reliable and once you “figure it out”, duplicating success is much easier than with something like domaining. Id recommend trying this out if you have extra time (for writing) and know at least something about seo and keywords.
Freelance Writing
If you know nothing about seo or keywords, but consider yourself to be a good writer you might want to check out TextBroker, or Elance and sign up as a freelance writer. Doing this will allow you to get orders from people like me looking to get content for their websites. All you have to do is write the articles at the set rate, and collect your paycheck. This is the type of work for someone that is looking for a regular check for the hours being put in. You see with domain reselling, and sniper site creation its hard to figure out exactly how much you are going to make. You might get a site that hits the serps flying and makes $100 in a day, and have another that never gets ranked and struggles to make a dollar a day. The difference is obvious however and that is, their is no ceiling with sniper sites and domain names.
Make Money with Twitter
If you read my older post on how to make money with twitter you already know this, but if not here is a quick refresher. Anyone with a twitter account can make some money by tweeting out ads sent to you by advertisers. I
use sponsored tweets for this service, and I have found them to be very helpful and useful if you have the followers to back it up. I would recommend checking them out if you have a good amount of followers and dont mind a few obscure ads to be placed on your Twitter profile.
These are only three of the possibilities for you to make money online, but they are tried and true, and if you execute them properly you can make a fair amount of money with them. As always hard work is the key to success in this or any other industry.
